How to Improve Your Posture at Work

Good posture helps you maintain balance and move in a way that puts the least amount of strain on your body. At work many of us spend the majority of the day in a similar position, so it’s important that we make sure that our bodies are positioned correctly. Poor posture can be damaging to health, whereas correct posture may actually have significant benefits.

By correcting your posture you may experience:

  1. Increased confidence
  2. More energy
  3. Boosted self-esteem and mood
  4. Reduced risk of injury
  5. Improved breathing
  6. Reduced headaches
  7. Increased productivity

By being mindful of how you’re positioning your body, staying active, maintaining a healthy weight, and by adding strengthening exercises to your routine, you can improve posture

Whether you sit at a desk all day, are mostly on your feet, spend a lot of time behind the wheel of the car, or have to consistently lift objects at work, you should be mindful of body positioning. There are also specific exercises and stretches you can do to improve your posture and relieve pain you’re experiencing.
